Designer Kitchens
The kitchen is the heart of the home, where
family members gather to cook, to eat, to socialize, and sometimes just to
catch up over a quick snack or a cup of coffee. It is also a place where
children do their homework. Kitchen is the hardest-working room and probably
the most complex. More elements, appliances, fixtures, plumbing, wiring, and
furniture fit into a given space than anywhere else in the home; naturally it
is most expensive to equip.
So careful planning is required to make the
kitchen into a working reality. In a kitchen, storage is fundamental, only a
perfect design will make use of every centimeter of the cabinet space. Satinood offers such design ideas, efficient plan
layouts, and a variety of imported quality fixtures and appliances and help
to create a kitchen that works just right. Cabinets Cabinets are the key element in kitchen
storage. They set the tone of the room’s decorative personality and form the
backbone of its organisation. They have greater
impact on kitchen’s design than any other element and represent the biggest
part of the overall cost. Most cabinets are made from pre-laminated particle
boards. They cost less and weigh more, but they are
more prone to warping and moisture damage. Screws do not fasten for long. The
pre-laminates are very thin and peel at the corners and edges. Once a cheap cabinet starts peeling or
dampening, that’s it. Satinood cabinets are machine
made, using first quality borer and waterproof marine plywood; post-laminated
on both sides with 0.8 mm thick high pressure laminate and edge banded with
0.6 mm thick PVC strips. The cabinet components are assembled with imported
knock down fittings and mounted on adjustable legs to make levelling simple. Once level, the legs are concealed with
skirting. Drawers Traditionally, cabinets are provided with
shelves. They are cheap, but not functional. In shelves, one has to bend and
hunt for goods stored at the back. To improve the quality of life, Satinood offers cabinets fitted with full extension Tandembox runners, which enables the drawers to glide out
and shut in with a gentle pull or push. They are absolutely smooth and silent. Even
items kept at the back of the drawer can be easily accessed without getting
down on hand or knees. Each drawer can be designed to the size of the
available containers and can take a load of 30 kg. i.e.
even a 25 kg. of rice bag can be placed in a drawer. Fixture & Appliances Satinood cabinets are made to international sizes and are
fitted with world class branded fixtures and appliances only. Shutters and Drawer Fronts Satinood offers a variety of option in choosing the colour, texture and design of the kitchen cabinet
shutters and drawer fronts. Flat veneered panel is the simplest and least
expensive. Next comes the laminated one. Today’s choice is membrane pressed
shutters and drawer fronts, which are sealed all round by vacuum forming;
twelve colours and six designs are available to
choose from. Treated rubber or teakwood shutters and drawer fronts can also
be supplied in melamine finish. Old or New Satinood undertakes to furnish a new kitchen or remodel an
old one, entirely on a turnkey project basis, right from providing layout
plans to scale, using the latest 3D design technology; and executing the work
to the needs, such as fixing granite tops, tiling the walls and floor,
plumbing, painting and electrical wiring. It also offers professional advice
for major remodelling, such as moving a wall. Satinood also welcome customers who plan to do their own
